Tying-the-knot, perfect florals for small and intimate weddings

As I sit at my desk in our studio looking out at the hazy midday sun and the gentle breeze flows over our flower patch, staring back at me is a sea of colour and two flat-out dogs also enjoying the suns rays! I am incredibly proud of our little flower patch and we seem to have out-done ourselves this year with some of the cosmos reaching over 2 metres tall and Café au Lait dahlia’s the size of saucers! The gentle scent of the last of the sweet-peas and the gorgeous garden roses lingers in the air and you can happily get lost along the rows whilst cutting the seemingly ever-blooming flowers.

With the launch of our Intimate Weddings Package last week and our latest blog revealing how we created our own dream intimate wedding, I thought I should tell you a little more about this new and exciting service we are offering.

Sustainability has always been a big part of SHFD and we have been working hard on how to make sure we are as environmentally-friendly as possible. The enforced break from weddings this summer it has given me the time to really think about the direction of the business and which areas we have wanted to grow (no pun intended!).

Growing our own florals for others to enjoy gives me huge satisfaction, and I am really excited to offer a package which allows me to create you romantically-styled and natural designs for your super special day using the very best of what we and other local growers have on offer.

Our Intimate Wedding Package offers a stress-free approach for couples looking for stunning florals but who do not require our full Bespoke Wedding Service. You simply let us know your chosen date, your colour palette and select your floral requirements from our brochure and then leave the rest up to us! With the option of collecting from our studio or making use of our delivery service, it couldn’t be any easier to have beautiful British and foam-free florals on your special day!

Looking out over our flower patch on such a stunning summer’s day, the colour combinations and floral mixtures seem endless. It is nearly a year since Alistair and I tied-the-knot and I can’t wait to help others create their own perfect intimate wedding, just like Abigail and Gavin at St Edmund Hall and Bodleian Libraries (images above by Poppy Carter Portraits)

Check out of Intimate Wedding Package here – I look forward to hearing from you!
